Your email (only if you sign up)

When you sign up (here, in the Boop app, or when our Discord server asks for your email to let you in), your email is sent to MailerLite, the service we use to send our emails. It goes on the same mailing list as our other apps, like Sleepy Time Noise, marked as coming from Boop. We use it to send free sound effects, music and templates, and news about Boop and our other apps. We never sell it or share it with anyone else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we’ll delete it.

The tutorial: drawings, recordings and your microphone

Everything in the tutorial happens inside your browser, on your device. What you draw, the motion you record and the GIF or video you download are made on your computer and are not uploaded anywhere.

If you turn on the microphone, your browser asks you first. The sound is recorded into the page’s memory, sped up and played back right there. It never leaves your browser, and it’s gone when you close or reload the page.

No tracking

This site has no analytics, no ad or social-media trackers, and sets no cookies. It doesn’t load fonts or scripts from other companies.

Hosting

Like every website, the server that delivers these pages (our host, Cloudflare) briefly sees technical details such as your IP address in order to send you the page and keep the site safe from attacks. We don’t use that information to identify you.

Discord

“Join the Discord” takes you to Discord, which has its own privacy policy. To get into our server you’re asked for your email once (we send a code to check it); that email joins the mailing list above.

Kids

The sign-up list is for people 13 and older. If you’re younger, ask a parent to sign up for you.

Questions or deletion

Email support.boop.video@gmail.com and we’ll help, including removing your email from our list. If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top.
